Shipping Your Firearm to Redleg

Under federal law (Gun Control Act of 1968), private firearm owners may legally ship their firearm directly to a licensed gunsmith (FFL) for repair, customization, or maintenance and the gunsmith may return the firearm directly to the same owner once the work is complete.

If shipping is the right move, here’s how it works. You must be the legal owner of the firearm. We email you a prepaid shipping label a $50 flat shipping fee for a single firearm (sending more than one? Call for a quote). Ship it unloaded, securely packaged in a hard case, with a copy of your driver’s license inside the package. We evaluate your firearm and send you a written report with exact prices for your job whether it’s a diagnostic, a rebarrel, Cerakote, or a full build, nothing proceeds without your written approval. Your rifle ships back to the same name and address on your ID, in full compliance with ATF and carrier regulations.
