Founded in 2016 by Master Gunsmith and U.S. Army Veteran Brandon Lolkus, Redleg Guns began in a small shop in Slayton, Minnesota, before expanding in 2022 to the historic hardware store in downtown Chandler, MN now the home of one of the Midwest’s most respected precision rifle shops.

At Redleg, we believe accuracy isn’t optional it’s engineered.

Every rifle, every component, and every detail is treated with purpose. Whether we’re blueprinting an action, chambering a barrel, or epoxy-sleeving a bolt, our work is driven by a single goal: to build rifles that shoot tighter, cycle smoother, and perform flawlessly in the field, at the range, or on the firing line.

Unlike mass-production gun shops, Redleg doesn’t chase volume we chase perfection. Our shop runs on craftsmanship, precision tooling, and decades of combined gunsmithing experience.

👨‍🔧 The Craftsman Behind the Name

After years of military service, Brandon Lolkus turned his passion for firearms into a lifelong craft.

He earned his Gunsmithing and Firearms degree from Pine Technical & Community College in Pine City, MN formalizing the skills that now define Redleg’s reputation for accuracy, safety, and craftsmanship.

Today, Brandon leads a dedicated three-person team that treats every rifle like it’s their own. From the first measurement to the final zero, nothing leaves the bench until it meets the Redleg Standard.

You’ll find us at our workshop in downtown Chandler, Minnesota, open Tuesday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and by appointment on Mondays and Fridays.
